ARTIST MANAGERS WORKSHOP

On May 26 & 27, Alberta Music and the Music Managers Forum will be hosting an Artist Managers Workshop in Calgary & Edmonton. The music industry has seen dramatic change and restructuring over the past few years. In this workshop, managers currently working in the field will share their expertise and advice to those who are self-managed and those looking for more insight on the world of music management. Learn about the many types of relationships that exist between artists & managers, and the specific issues/challenges the music industry faces today.

RECORDING WORKSHOPTHE AUDIO DEPARTMENT

The Audio Department will be a hosting a weekend Recording Workshop focusing on the process of recording a band in the studio. Students will get to assist in tracking, editing and mixing a recording project from start to finish. The goal is to share how the recording process works, show why you would use certain recording technique and when to apply those techniques.
