Alberta Music presents monthly information sessions and special workshops featuring a variety of topics to help you get the most out of your music career. Past topics have included: Music Law and Copyright, Managers Workshop, Record Labels, Effective Marketing Tools, Radio Tracking, Touring.
Showcase Opportunities
Alberta Music often hosts music showcases in and around Alberta, and at conferences such as OCFF, WCMA, NXNE, and Canadian Music Week. These showcases feature Alberta Music members from all genres.
Industry Networking
Alberta Music members can attend numerous information, networking nights and Alberta Music functions with invited guests from all walks of the music industry – record companies, media, booking agents and more are present at our events and networking is more than welcome!
Career Consultation
All Alberta Music members are able to access music industry experts through their association. Alberta Music is dedicated to providing guidance and feedback to our members with regard to grant applications, marketing, writing media releases and much more. If we do not have the “expert” here at hand, we are more than happy to find the appropriate person to help move you in the direction you desire.
Alberta Notes e-Newsletter
Sent out twice a month, this correspondence is a means to keep our members up to date on issues affecting the music industry locally, nationally, and internationally. It includes notices for songwriting contests, music conferences, industry events, showcasing opportunities, etc. Alberta Notes also provides members with the opportunity to post their own ads, gig notices, etc.
