Born to bilingual parents from Saskatchewan and raised in Edmonton, Ariane Mahrÿke Lemire started writing at an early age. She first put her words to music with the help of her father, classical guitarist Lyall Steel. She has since become a prolific singer songwriter and has played on stages across western Canada, Québec, France and Ireland. Her first album, Double Entendre, made Tony King’s Top 10 of 2008 list (CKUA Radio) and won a Western Canadian Music Award.
